The Mythology of Science
R.J. Rushdoony

Originally published in 1967, this book points out the fraud of the empirical claims of much modern science since Charles Darwin. This book is about the religious nature of evolutionary thought and how these religious presuppositions underlay our modern intellectual paradigm, and are deferred to as sacrosanct by institutions and disciplines far removed from the empirical sciences. The "mythology" of modern science is its religious devotion to the myth of evolution. Evolution "so expresses or coincides with the contemporary spirit that its often radical contradictions and absurdities are never apparent, in that they express the basic presuppositions, however untenable, of everyday life and thought." In evolution, man is the highest expression of intelligence and reason, and such thinking will not yield itself to submission to a God it views as a human cultural creation, useful, if at all, only in a cultural context. We can attack the science of evolution all we want, but the battle for our faith, true science, and our culture is a religious one over the nature of truth. Evolution is a religious faith that has become entrenched as a presupposition of modern thought. The basis of science and all other thought will ultimately be found in a higher ethical and philosophical context; whether or not this is seen as religious does not change the nature of that context." Part of the mythology of modern evolutionary science is its failure to admit that it is a faith-based paradigm.

The Biblical Basis for Modern Science
Henry Morris
This is the most complete and authoritative reference book available on science and the Bible, with each chapter dealing with one of the key sciences in relation to Scripture, in addition to separate chapters on theology, cosmology, miracles, and Biblical creationism. With numerous illustrations and useful appendices, it is appropriate either as a textbook or for devotional study.

  Six Day Creation

Creation in Six Days
A Defense of the Traditional Reading of Genesis One

James B. Jordan

Creation Six Days offers an exegetical, literary, and theological defense of the traditional interpretation of the Genesis account of six-day creation. Jordan's account is primarily designed to answer any approach to the text of Genesis, such as the increasingly popular Framework Hypothesis, that pits the text's literary features against its historical and narrative sense.

Genesis Record
A Scientific and Devotional Commentary on the Book of Beginnings

Henry M. Morris
The Genesis Record is the only commentary on the complete book of Genesis written by a creationist scientist. Written as a narrative exposition rather than a critical verse-by-berse analysis, the book is equally useful to both the theologically trained and the layperson.

  Progressive Creationism

Creation & Time
A report on the Progressive Creationist book by Hugh Ross

Mark Van Bebber & Paul S. Taylor
A report on the Progressive Creationist book by Hugh Ross. It is a valuable source book critiquing claims by Dr. Hugh Ross and the Progressive Creationism movement, exposes dangerous errors in their theology and scientific interpretation.

Big God vs. Big Science
Bill Sardi
A rebuttal to the theory that the universe and the earth are billions of years old, and other ideas in the books Creation and Time and The Fingerprint of God by Hugh Ross, astronomer and progressive creationist. The debate over whether the Bible describes six 24-hour days of creation, or millions and billions of years as representing a creation "day" is perplexing to the Christian church. Few people are equipped to understand the arguments regarding old-earth vs. young-earth dating. The Christian church is faced with a dilemma. Shall it accept both old-earth and young-earth dating for the Genesis account of creation? If the church takes a side, does it risk division? While it is important that the Bible be challenged historically and scientifically so that it does not become mythology, it is also important that science be challenged so that it does not become a charade. The foundations of old-earth arguments are often based upon faulty, slanted or outright fraudulent science. Many Christians may be totally unaware of this. Furthermore, in the spirit of avoiding divisions within the Christian church, and encompassing a range of different opinions regarding the Bible account of creation, is the Christian church permitting false teaching within its ranks? In the midst of the debate, ultimately Christians are being asked whether to rely upon science or God? Which (or who) is more reliable? Big God vs. Big Science will provide some answers to that question.

  Creation / Evolution

Refuting Evolution
Jonathan Sarfati

My favorite up-and-coming creation apologist is Jonathan Sarfati, Ph.D., an apologist, and a grandmaster chess champion. Sarfati brings his own brand of relentless presuppositional and biblical arguments to the table in this easy-to-read but devastating rebuttal to the latest theories touted by evolutionists. First published as a response to the National Academy of Sciences' Teaching About Evolution, Sarfati's Refuting Evolution has sold more than a quarter of a million copies and may be the most important book you will read on the subject. Evolutionists and creation compromisers are afraid of this man's arguments, which is exactly why you need this book. - Doug Phillips of Vision Forum

Battle For The Beginning
John F. MacArthur

The Battle for the Beginning explores the Bible's own claims about creation, evolution, and the vital issues at stake in the dispute over the beginning of the universe. Renowned Bible scholar John MacArthur answers the hard questions, equipping you to defend your faith.

Did Adam Have a Belly Button
And Other Tough Questions About the Bible

Ken Ham

When I have the privilege of speaking at Back to Genesis conferences with Dr. John Morris for the Institute for Creation Research, I am almost always asked the question which makes up the title of this book. Many thanks to our good friend Ken Ham for compiling a list of several hundred of the more esoteric and interesting questions posed to young earth creationists. His short, one-page answers are invaluable. - Doug Phillips of Vision Forum

Darwin's Black Box
The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution

Michael J. Behe

Michael J. Behe, a biochemist at Lehigh University, presents here a scientific argument for the existence of God. Examining the evolutionary theory of the origins of life, he can go part of the way with Darwin--he accepts the idea that species have been differentiated by the mechanism of natural selection from a common ancestor. But he thinks that the essential randomness of this process can explain evolutionary development only at the macro level, not at the micro level of his expertise. Within the biochemistry of living cells, he argues, life is "irreducibly complex." This is the last black box to be opened, the end of the road for science. Faced with complexity at this level, Behe suggests that it can only be the product of "intelligent design."

Defeating Darwinism by Opening Minds
Phillip E. Johnson
With all of the complicated scientific debate swirling around the topic of evolution, is there an easy way to understand the basic issues without oversimplifying? Phillip Johnson says there is: the key to defeating the false claims of Darwinism is to open our minds to good thinking habits. Here is first-rate advice on avoiding common mistakes in discussions about evolution, understanding the legacy of the Scopes trial, spotting deceptive arguments, and grasping the basic scientific issues without getting bogged down in unnecessary details. In the critically acclaimed Darwin on Trial and Reason in the Balance, Phillip Johnson exposed the misleading claims of evolutionary naturalism. Defeating Darwinism provides a new and powerful treatment of these issues for high-school students, parents, teachers, pastors, youth advisors and ordinary readers. Johnson aims not just to defeat a bad theory, but to defeat it the right way--by opening minds to the truth.

  Cosmology / Astronomy

God and Cosmos
A Christian View of Time, Space, and the Universe

John Byl

Taking aim at Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time, Byl questions a number of modern cosmology's assumptions, including the big bang theory. Furthermore, he tackles such prickly issues as extraterrestrial intelligence, the limitations of human knowledge, and the existence of a spiritual realm.

Design and Origins in Astronomy
George Mulfinger

This technical book covers the origin of the universe, redshift, shrinking Sun, solar neutrinos, and more.

  Fossil Record

Bones of Contention
A Creationist Assessment of the Human Fossils

Marvin L. Lubenow
One of the best and most recent publications available that documents the intriguing background and information about so-called “ape-men.” Great chapters that help Christians understand why evolution cannot be accepted, and a section on who wrote Genesis.

  Genesis Flood

The Genesis Flood
Henry Morris & John Whitcomb
This is the book which many recognize as having started the modern revival of creationism and catastrophism. Although it has gone through over 32 printings, it is still the most definitive treatment of the Biblical and scientific evidences of the global flood in the days of Noah

Climates Before and After the Genesis Flood
Numerical Models and Their Implications

Larry Vardiman

A technical monograph that attempts to apply conventional scientific methods and data to a Biblical framework of Earth history. The proper term for this attempt might be Biblical paleoclimatology. The following topics are treated in the monograph: A Vapor Canopy Model, Helium Escape from the Atmosphere, A Young-Earth Age Model for Ice Cores, A Young-Earth Age Model for Sea-Floor Sediment Accumulation, Global Climate Modeling, Hurricane Modeling Over a Warm Ocean
